Temangnetin Dance of Nagaland

Temangnetin dance is a unique dance form that can be seen in this beautiful state. It is also popular by the name of Fly Dance.

Nature and its elements have immense significance in the lives of the tribes residing in Nagaland. It is evident from their folk dances, songs, and other cultural events.

The dance is similar to the Cricket dance or Gethinglim. However, in Temangnetin dance the moves resemble those of a Temangnetin insect. Both men and women take part in this dance.

The dancers wear traditional attire with multiple metal jewelry. The dancers also sing traditional songs and play some ethnic instruments during the performance.
